Blue Lotus: what it is, what we carry
An Egyptian water lily. It isn't hemp and there's no nicotine in it. What the plant actually is, plus the Blue Infinity and Psyched prerolls, Third Eye extracts and Psyched gummies we keep in stock. 21+.
What is blue lotus?
The questions we get at the counterBlue lotus (Nymphaea nouchali var. caerulea) is a blue water lily from the Nile and eastern Africa. People have been drying it and steeping it for thousands of years. It's a different plant from hemp, so most of the usual questions about THC don't apply to it. It's newer on our shelf and we get asked about it a lot.
It's a water lily, not a lotus
Despite the name it isn't botanically a lotus. It grows in slow water across the Nile basin and eastern Africa, and people grow it in garden ponds. The petals are what gets dried.
No hemp, no THC, no nicotine
This is the one we get asked most. Blue lotus is a separate plant from hemp, and none of it is a nicotine product. The Blue Infinity boxes print it right on the front: no hemp, no THC, no delta. That's the manufacturer's claim off the package, we don't test it ourselves.
Why it shows up in Egyptian art
It's on tomb walls and it turned up in burial goods. It meant the sun and rebirth. Historians think it was steeped in wine for ceremonies. That's all documented. Nobody wrote down what it actually did to them.
What's in the flower
Two compounds come up: nuciferine and apomorphine. In lab dishes both of them hit dopamine receptors, and nuciferine hits serotonin receptors too. What nobody has measured is what's actually in a preroll, an extract or a gummy off a shelf like ours, or what it does in a person.
What people say about it
Customers describe it as calm and dreamy rather than intoxicating, and some call it mildly euphoric. That's them talking, not us. We can't tell you what it'll do for you.
What we don't know
There are a few small reports and that's about it. No clinical trials, no agreed dose, and the FDA hasn't looked at any of it. Most of what has been published is case reports of people who had a bad time with it. If a website tells you exactly how it'll feel, they don't know that either.
The forms you'll see
Dried flower and tea, infused prerolls, liquid extracts for a vape device, and gummies. We keep prerolls, extracts and gummies in stock. Ask us about loose flower or tea and we'll look into ordering it.
Where it stands legally
It isn't a DEA-controlled substance and nothing in Georgia law restricts it. Louisiana is the only state with a law naming it, and there it's the smokable and edible forms that are banned. We sell it 21+ with ID. Laws on this stuff change, so this is where it stands now, not legal advice.

Know before you buy
Is blue lotus the same as hemp or THC?
No, different plant. The Blue Infinity boxes print it on the front: no hemp, no THC, no delta. That's the manufacturer's claim, and none of it is sold as a hemp product.
Is blue lotus legal in Georgia?
Nothing in Georgia law restricts it, and it isn't a DEA-controlled substance. Louisiana is the only state with a law naming it. We card everyone, 21+. This stuff changes, so it's where things stand now, not legal advice.
What does it feel like?
We can't tell you, and neither can anyone else. What we hear back from customers is calm and dreamy more than intoxicating, but that's them talking, not us. There's no clinical research behind it, no agreed dose, and the FDA hasn't evaluated any of it.
Who should skip it?
Anyone pregnant or nursing, anyone under 21, anyone driving, and anyone drinking or taking sedatives. If you take any prescription medication, ask your doctor before you try it. If you're active-duty military, blue lotus is on the DoD prohibited supplement list.
Which one should I start with?
Gummies come in a fixed amount you can see. Prerolls come on faster and you can stop when you want to. The extracts are the most concentrated thing we carry, so don't start there.
Can you hold one for me?
Yes. Tap "Hold one" on any product or call (470) 892-6611 and we'll set it aside same-day. Nothing is charged online, you pay at pickup with ID.
